In Gen 48:16, the last phrase reads, "... and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."
This is the blessing given to Yosef. This word "grow," to the best of my research, is only found in this one passage (Strongs #1711), and its root word is "dag," fish. There was "confusion" among the sages as to how fish could multiply in the earth. Obviously, fish multiply in water.
Am I correctly seeing this as a prophecy as to messiah ben yosef, one that tends to go unnoticed?
Because of course we see Yehushua ben Yosef doing that very thing when he multiplies the two fish and the five loaves of bread.
Side-line Questions:
(1) Is it true that the desert town of Bethsaida means House of Fish?
(2) What's your take on the picture to be seen from two fish and five loaves?
